VW Szalon és szervíz

Came into this shop from the motorway, on my way to the UK. Had the DPF filter light on and the car was in LIMP mode. . After connecting the car to the computer and doing some tests they told me that the filter is done, completely clogged and that they can, actually, hack the car computer into thinking that the filter is ok and allow me to continue my ride the normal way. They said that the filter NEEDS to be changed, as it is dangerous to drive like this. After 3 or 4 hours and 40 euros spent there I left, with the car driving ok. Less than 2 km later I had the same issue but, as I already lost too much time on the way, decided to continue like that and check it at home, in the UK. In Birmingham, a Polish mechanic checked it again, almost took out the entire exhaust, just to find that the DPF SENSOR was out. Fixed it in 10 minutes, the filter costed 18 pounds. Honestly, I do not recommend to anyone to go to VW in Eger.
