Imola Hotel Platán

One of the greatest adult-friendly hotels in Hungary. Staff is very polite and welcoming. Spa is relatively big with different pools and saunas. There is a free of charge option to go to Eger city spa as well. Both breakfast and dinner are fantastic. Rooms are modern, clean and spacious. Amongst my favorite hotels of the country, highly recommended.

I truly loved that you can have a drink in the Jacuzzi. Excellent for couples to enjoy one another.

The rooms are modern and clean, but maintenance is poor. The bed was comfortable but too soft for me. Extra pillow and blankets were provided too. The shower was great, maybe the best I had in a hotel so far. The staff was polite and nice. The hotel itself looks modern but in some places in needs some maintenance. It's a 10 minute walking distance from the old city and the castle. The wellness section is relatively big and has many features. But it's missing a warm pool and the sauna section is crowded and uncomfortable. And if it's cold outside you probably won't use the free passage to the thermal bath of the city either, because it's a long walk in the cold. The restaurant has a nice ambient and a polite staff. The meals were mostly delicious, but sometimes not so much. Breakfast selection is good and quickly refilled. At the bar the beer selection is poor, but wine and spirit selection is great. Overall experience was splendid. The best 4 star hotel I visited in the recent years. And the absence of children was a great change. (They don't allow them in the hotel)

We had a really good long weekend at Hotel Imola Platán. The hotel is really quiet and clean. The staff is helpful and nice. The rooms are spacious for this size of hotel and well equipped. The food was great, although the menu is short, but each meal was tasty and the portion was good. But the best part is the spa and wellness area. The size of the pool and sauna area is excellent for a hotel of this size. Even with a full hotel you can be in a pool on your own! And also you can use the thermal bath, if you would like to try something else. I highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to relax.
