CASTRUM Wellness Spa Zalakaros Pension and Camping

I stayed for one night in mid July passing through on my way to Croatia. Surprisingly the campsite was totally empty - initially I wondered why but I do not regret that we stayed here. Very quiet place. The price for 2+2+electricity was ~15000 HUF including swimming pool entrance for us four.

The camping is too expensive for what it offers.

Plus points: Nice thermal bath, nice rooms, nice staff, good breakfast. Minus points: hard bed and bad sleep. All night long you could hear water running and then briefly a sound as if someone was working with a battery screwdriver. Light switch is just above the pillows and I have turned on the light several times with my head. Despite high season, the camping site was completely empty and also due to the weeds, hardly visited. With checkout, we also understood why. Had to pay more than that, if that was on arrival. Quality / price ratio does not match In my opinion, this property is out of the market and will be an "Urban place" within 10 years.

Calm, quiet and clean. Price is also super. Nice people. Highly recommended for families. 🙂
