The Public Cultural Association was founded on July 23, 1991 under the leadership of Károly Hervai of Murakeresztúr. Its primary purpose was to operate the Village TV Murakeresztúr. In recent years, the Murakeresztúr area of ​​operation of the Public Cultural Association has expanded with culture, telecommunications, public culture and the preservation of traditions. In addition to its primary task, it aims to represent the interests of the Croatian and Hungarian national communities, to preserve traditions, and to maintain old culture and customs. Cultural groups: the Csalamádé children's folk dance group the Mura folk dance group a Mura dance and the Rosemary Women's Choir. Since 2016 he has been the holder of the KÓTA award in the Nationality category. It operates the Murakeresztúr Micro-Regional Public Transport Service of the "Kulturno društvo Kerestur" Public Cultural Association. In 2020, the organization purchased a small cottage that features the “Nationality Country House.
