Great place! Try to find a quiet time, and when the train runs. A lot of walking. Hidden gems, like candle making. Full day out recommended. Take a picnic, or eat on site.

Very interesting place when an old village is preserved. You can see the houses and you can have a feeling how the people they were living their life 200 years ago. There's a parking place and admission ticket

It's an outdoor museum showing the older ages of different countryside of Hungary also in architecture as well as clothing, tools, the history of light from candles to electricity, etc. There's a cool old school farm where you can see the life of the house animals like pigs, goats, goose, etc., and horses you can feed sometimes. There's a cool old school shop where you can touch the most of the things and can play you're shopping then you can pay at the oldtimer cash desk or be the cashier itself, of course it doesn't need real money! 4 stars because there's only one restaurant which one is authentic though but it's expensive and could be more delicious and only one bakery as well which is expensive too!

We just love skanzen. We rent bicycles with baby seat and get around easily. Animals, train, wind mill, watermill, funny actors around, nice programs and themes organized. Dont miss te bakery!!!

make sure you arrive in time, otherwise you won't be able to check out everything. really kind stuff, they tell you all about the the place and make you feel like you are part of something special. worth spending a day here, even with children.
