Don't believe what Google Maps tells you. This museum is closed completely. In 2021 it will reopen in a brand new building in City Park near Heroes Square. By all means go to see the exterior of the building to view the large collection of busts and monuments to notable Hungarians.

Too bad this museum is now closed. I came here on a class trip a while back. Loved the textiles! A thousand years of culture should definitely be on public display.
