This is a dangerous place to be if you are on a diet or care about your carbohydrate intake. All the cakes, cookies, cheese bites are so delicious, you just can't get enough. You only pop in for a quick bite, taste something here and realize you actually want to try all the cakes. In my humble opinion Hungarian sweets are superior to any other but there are levels of greatness and Daubner sweets represent the highest one. Years ago the shop was a very good but simple cake factory where you bought the best stuff in town, left the shop and eat it at home. It was challenging to park nearby and the queue was long due to the high demand and way too small shop area. Now they are changing the building to a proper café where you can choose to sit and have some time to treat yourself with a coffee and cake, they have their own parking place for the customers and there is no extra long queue anymore as the shop area has gotten like 5 times bigger. If you are in Budapest you definitely don't want to miss this place. It is perfect if you want to surprise your loved ones with the best quality sweets money can buy. The prices - compared to other local sweet shops - are reasonable.

Always a good choice. Found a tiny cake for a birthday as everyone has 1 slice only and can dump the rest, this didn't have to happen now thanks for the lovely tiny cakes. Orange truffle forever!

Excellent quality products. Well-established confectionary with decades of well deserved high reputation. Caveat: always very busy 😁 Their new 'drive-thru' service is great. You have to book a pick-up slot by phone and call again when you get to the pick-up point. But you skip the queue.

Everything was delicious. Cake slices as well as the ice cream were very enjoyable. The lines are long and there seems to be a lot of people frequenting this place so be prepared to be patient and wait in line for your turn. There is a separate line for ice cream and another for the cakes and pastries. It's really not that complicated at all. I don't know why this seems to be an issue.
