Basilica of Esztergom

Just a large church. I understand that it's significant for Hungarian christianity but there's not much of interest for a regular visitor. So don't go out of your way to visit it. Having said that the church is situated on a hill and looks great from below so if you're in the area at least pass next to it view it from downhill

One of the most beautiful architectural wonders of Hungary. It's only about an hour from Budapest by car, and you can easily spend a day in Esztergom, so a morning to evening trip is ideal. The only issue is that the interior at the moment it is sort of under renovation, but you can still experience the special atmosphere of the space and the magnificent view from the outside.

A very short distance from the capital, definitely worth to go and see it.

It’s beautiful as always. We return every few years. Unfortunately covid limits the do list but it’s still worth a visit!

Amazing, huge, loved it. Totally unexpected in that dirty small city.
