At least, besides the paintings, you can find the painter's biographical data and some additions to his life!

Dénes Deák (1931-1993), a Budapest art collector and patron, developed a valuable art collection of works by Hungarian twentieth-century artists from the 1960s to the 1990s. Not having a successor, he donated his collection to Székesfehérvár, as he saw that Székesfehérvár did a lot to make modern Hungarian art a public treasure. He was not disappointed in his hopes, already in his life, the Deák Collection exhibition place was opened in 1988, and even after the death of Dénes Deák in 1993, they undertook to further enrich the collection with modern works of fine art. Modern works of art require a lot of space all over the world, so another exhibition space, the Pelican Gallery, has also been set up in the city’s Pelican courtyard. The two exhibition venues are collectively referred to as the City Gallery. In our country, where, unfortunately, private collections have disintegrated in the midst of the storms of history (see, for example, the private collection of Lajos Ernst), the fact that the Deák Collection is in Székesfehérvár and is the subject of a permanent exhibition is invaluable. Its ideological value is almost invaluable, it gives an overview of the entire Hungarian painting of the twentieth century, which is also evident from the fact that we highlight a few names without claiming completeness.
