'The Reformed Church in Sukoro housed the Pákozd - Sukoró Battle Council, which met in September 1848, where Lajos Batthyányi was present. The church has since been declared a monument, and a statue has been erected in front of the building in memory of the council of war. The said Council of War of 1848 met on September 28 in the church, where the commander of the army John Móga protested against the clash. The council called Moga a traitor and a coward during the controversy, so he resigned his office and, in the heat of the controversy, cut his sword on his lord's table from 1805. Traces of this can still be seen today. Prime Minister Lajos Batthyányi then gave a speech, after which Habsburg party officers also sided with the revolution. We can still see a memory of the meeting of the Council of War in the church today, as small nameplates on the benches indicate the location of the more famous participants. The end result of the battle was well done, as the day after the council, under the leadership of Moga, they also won the battle against the threefold superiority. '
