Very nice gallery with large collection of Hungarian arts of different times. There are also pieces from some famous painters such as Cézanne, Gauguin, Renoir... if you like landscape and portrait painting, the gallery is definitely the right place for you. Panoramic view from the dome.
Big, wide, amazing arts, really heart taking and totally worth the time!
I visited this venue for the very first time in my life and I was impressed, how huge it is and how reach this exhibition/collection is, indeed. Especially the grandiose halls and paintings are those, which I felt in love with immediately, but the altars with wings from many centuries ago were also magnificent.
It's totally overwhelming to walk through halls, in which kings were crowned only hundred years earlier...
An amazing addition to the visit of the Gallery was the opportunity to enter into the dome over the entire palace in Buda.
Sadly, on some places in the building were remains of the communistic/socialistic architecture seeable...
There is no 'wow' effect if you have been to Saint-Petersburg's or Moscow's galleries. It's not necessary to spent time there.
there was a great variety of art collection from early to.mid nineties showing the common lives og people in that era..worth visiting..free on national holidays...u can also go to the stop.and have a full view of buda side
