Siklós castle

This castle is not the largest but for sure one of the best reserved and restored among the Hungarian castles. Located in a beautiful area with great view over the surrounding hills, offering authentic exhibitions and historical walks around the walls. It could be a great target for families or just simple history fans.

We arrived at the castle while a festival was going on with reenactments and stalls it was really impressive. The castle itself had good exhibitions and the view from the ramparts was panoramic across the whole valley. Well worth the visit we will come back.

Very interesting castle retracing the Hungarian History and particularly the turc occupation of Hungary over 150 years long. A valuable visit !

It's the most interesting castle I visited in Hungary. Highly recommend

It's a nice place to relax and enjoy the scenery. You can even see Croatia from the castle.
