Európa Pékség

This is my favorite bakery in all of Pécs! They have a wide variety of items to pick from, pizza, pogácsa, my favorite burek, and much more. They also sell lots of sweet pastries and bread. The coffee is also decent. CASH ONLY but it's worth it because the prices are very reasonable.

Nice cappuccino and Apple pie/cake but the barrista/attendent didn't speak any English. Ambience is functional and only couple of seats to sit. Good for take away

Bakery products are not bad, the selection is also plentiful and the place is not considered expensive. I’ve been here quite a few times because it’s centrally located, but I haven’t really seen the sellers smile yet. Not even before they wore a face mask. I have witnessed foreigners come here several times, which is quite common in the center of such a university town in Pécs, which is also visited by tourists. Well, in this case, the indicator in the "what are you looking for curd here" range from the emotionless "I don't care what you want" field to Hungarians, where the seller is not frustrated because he doesn't know English, but because the foreign buyer can't in Hungarian. I understand that Albanian owners don’t pay a language exam supplement, but it would be so good if they would earn sellers at least so as not to hate the world during working hours.

The pastries are very delicious.
