According to the story, these are the remnants of a tree which was used by II. Rákóczi Ferenc, the great Hungarian freedom fighter and leader in 1710 to park his horse. The tree was a huge one at the end of its life with a trunk perimeter of 9,5 metres, and a height of over 40 metres. It fell after a storm in 2015.
I am a little envious of those who could see the still living tree, it is a stunning sight. ♥ ️
Wonderful place and an interesting thing is the giant tree trunk with its roots .Like what is drawn in the fairy tale.
It is easily accessible, although a built-in car park with at least 10 spaces would not hurt.
We stopped for a few minutes at the remains of hundreds of years old oak.
