The guide is friendly and professional. She can make the stories interesting for young children as well. Highly recommended to visit.

Thankfully, the owner lady speaks good English and I could ask many questions about Matyo’s folklore culture. She does embroidery and her husband does making furniture and painting. So cute everything is!

Beautifully renovated, maintained memorial house. The lady of the museum manager gave a very nice introduction, thank you very much!

Preservation of tradition at master's level, open-air museum in the middle of the city!

The house is a farmhouse, so they follow their schedule. The entrance first enters the atrium, which is the foyer of the kitchen. The house has one room and a pantry. In the atrium are the so-called pitari plates, which are less ornate than those in the room. In the kitchen, next to the oven, there is a bench and a free chimney covering half of the room with incense sticks. The room is furnished in a contemporary style: a hood, a bench, a chair, a seat (in which the child who has not been able to walk was placed), a bed. The bed was an original piece, owned by Aunt Bori, showing the fashion of the 1890s, as Bori Kis Jankó got married this year. On the wall are oil prints, sacred images and ornate plates. The dungeon also housed the dowry of a young woman who had just moved into the house at that time (bed, dresser), as she could not bring her own furniture into the house while her mother-in-law lived.
