Name of the place: Pajdos, the Palóc originates from folk superstitions in which the 'pajod' is a supernatural being that eats the Sun and the Moon during sun and moon eclipses, i.e. we can also say the 'being that brings darkness'. The name of the place: 'Pajdos' is coming from the north hungarian villagers folks 'superstitions and religion: there is a supernatural creature, it called:' Pajod 'who eats the Sun and the Moon, or we can say: the' creature who brings darkness'.
