Ignác Bognár (Csepreg, 18 March 1810 - Budapest, November 1, 1883) composer, singer of the National Theater, opera by Mária Tudor and Little House is the author of the song titled "The Great Danube" (Sándor Petőfi: From Far). His father, János Bogár was a notary and a schoolmaster, his mother was Terézia Kőszegi. He graduated from high school in Kőszeg and Sopron. He was a piano teacher for four years at the Jankovich and Semsei families. In 1833 he became a tenorist at the Hoftheater, then in 1835 he became the first singer to the coburg-gothic theater. In 1839 he was contracted to the National Theater of Pest at the invitation of Pál Nyáry, a year later to the theaters in Brunei and Innsbruck. Between 1841 and 1847 he worked in Cluj opera theater director, and then again in 1847 visszaszerződtették the National Theater as the first tenor, but as her voice began to wane, took over leadership of the conductor and the teachings of the plays. In 1862 he retired. He was a popular composer of Kora. He composed smaller operas, songs and short, simple songs.
