Ban and General Franjo Vlašić (Ferenc Vlassich) was born on April 24, 1766 in Dombóvár! State dignity, warlord and politician. In addition to his military successes, he supported the Hungarian movements in Transylvania and the Illyrian aspirations in Croatia. In all respects, he fought for the benefit of those nations and nationalities. He died on May 16, 1840, in Zagreb. On April 2, 2016, the Croatian Nationality Municipality of Dómbóvár erected a statue of Ban Vlašits in the memorial yard.
