A pretty small town that amazed me though when I visited it. It is easy to wander its streets for a couple of hours and discover all the hidden corners of the medieval historic center. Houses are colorful, churches monumental, and palaces with great architectural details. There are a few museums in town but unfortunately I did not have time to visit any of them. Lake Balaton is less than one hour drive from Szekesfehervar. Totally recommended if you have a few hours to stroll around and discover the town of the first kings of Hungary.

the garden looks great, although it's usually only opened during the advent period.

We traveled to Székesfehérvár several times. Last 2 days ago. It is a big disappointment for me if the Episcopal Palace cannot be visited due to the renovation (and even more "sights of Sfvár). The renovation is necessary, but also the correct information. just look.😒

We went to a very cozy Christmas market in the evening. Beautifully lit historic streets. Székesfehérvár dressed in celebration !! You can buy handmade products from the range of Christmas food and drinks. We tasted delicious teas, and returned home with gifts happily. The skating rink and the Giant Wheel were good. I recommend to everyone!

The palace was built at the end of the 18th century, partly by recycling the stones of the former cathedral. the library, the halls can be visited today. The space is dominated by a classic building. Its huge façade is not very ornate yet elegant.
