Apart from a takeaway pizzeria, the only restaurant in this picturesque village along route 6 between Budapest and Pécs. The village is located on the east flank of the Mecsek Mountains, about 30 km from Pécs. Besides an egg museum and a handicraft museum, there is an extensive walking area and one of the largest sweet chestnut forests in Europe. Back to Andi Falatozó. We came here after a walk and a visit to the egg museum. Actually wanted a light lunch but Hungarians usually have lunch hot and full. The map was also tailored to this. Although the menu was only in Hungarian, the waiter tried to give us the best possible explanation in German. Although it was not on the menu, a soup of the day was available for us. Our son opted for a chicken snitzel with homemade chips. We got an enormous bowl of soup from which we could enjoy unlimited. The snitzel and homemade chips were very flavorful. Soup had a good taste, but of course intended as a starter. Together with two 0.5 liters of cola and 0.5 liters of water, we walked out satisfied for less than € 10.00. I actually felt guilty that we hadn't all taken a dish from these nice people who run a small but good restaurant in this small village along route 6. Are you in the area, are you hungry, take the trouble to the 6 leave and enjoy Hungarian hospitality.
