,, ... behind the artistic wrought iron fence of the yard we can find the queen-yard of the once-poppy-home queen, where the birth of Saint Elizabeth in 1207, baptized in the royal chapel in the neighboring Rotunda. The yard of the house today awaits pilgrims and visitors with the rose garden of the Hungarian saints, an open-air stage, roses and rest areas. The remains of the gates of the Romanesque churches in Sárospatak can be seen in the open stone storehouse. Looking out from the north-eastern castle wall that borders the courtyard, the gently winding Bodrog River, with its Rákóczi Castle rising from its shore, is located in front of us. In the 17th century, Zsófia Báthory donated the medieval civic houses in the former mansion to the brook Jesuits, who, in addition to their church, established a college and a school. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Roman Catholic elementary school, St. Elizabeth's House, was built at the site of the Jesuit School. Stepping into the foreground, we can admire the statue of Béla Kontuly depicting the legend of Saint Elizabeth, originally designed for the Franciscan Church in Buda in 1952 ... "
