Bujtás László (08/08/2020)
December 1989. The land is moving in Romania. It is a bloody transition from dictatorship to democracy. The last bastion of the Eastern European bloc, Ceaușescu, loses power and is executed along with his wife. Many people know this story. But perhaps few have so far faced the fact that we Hungarians also contributed to the birth of freedom abroad. With relief efforts, shipments, organization, courage. And with blood. Sándor Tóth, a taxi driver from Hódmezővásárhely, is the Hungarian martyr of the Timisoara revolution. Few also know that the first truck left Romania for Szentes. But in addition to other parts of the country, action was also launched from several settlements in Csongrád County. The Southern Great Plain is therefore proud of what we accomplished in December 1989. This is what this exhibition is about, as well as the rapprochement of the Romanian and Hungarian people.

Rich collection, dear staff. It is also worth seeing the glow of light, with the same ticket.
