Ópusztaszer: Mindszenti széldaráló

In the farm world between Hódmezővásárhely and Szentes, the farmers started building windmills after the First World War. They were grinders that were easy to handle and simple to build, and the population was not forced to have to transport their crops far. The all-weather masonry windmill in Mindszent was built by a local carver in 1938, demolished in 1980 and relocated to the Ópusztaszer National Historical Memorial Park.
