Repašská Huta is a village in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Miskolc District. It is located 20 km from Miskolc and 30 km from Eger, in the Bükk National Park. The area has long been considered unsuitable for human settlement due to dense forest, barren soil and lack of water. It was founded in the late 18th century by Slovak, Ruthenian and German glass chillers, as its name suggests. It was one of the four glass hut settlements in Bükk, near Bükkszentlászló, Bükkszentkereszt and Gyertyánvölgy. Its inhabitants also engaged in coal and lime burning and logging. The village moved from another valley to its present location at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when the glass manufactories ceased to exist. It retains its Slovak roots to this day.
