Worst border crossing ever,expect long wait times. These hungarian border patrols are the slowest,pickiest. Better go to Bors and drive arround it.

I entered Hungary on 28.07.2018 about 11AM, driving. Same day - the way back - as passenger (my wife was driving). 2 days latter, I noticed that my driving licence is missing. I was not sure about circumstances, but most probably, somehow, I manage to lose my driving licence at Mehkerek Border Crossing Station. To my big surprise, on 03.08.2018 the postman delivered me (to Bucharest, Romania) a priority envelope sent from Hungary by someone from Border Crossing Police. Inside was my driving licence! Therefore, to all personnel from Mehkerek Border Crossing Station: Big Thank You! I'm so grateful! I really appreciate what you have done for me, proactively! Congratulations! Great people, great professionals!

They're terribly slow. When he left, he was perfectly fine, but upon entering, the Hungarian border guards were extremely slow. I really can't explain to myself why they do it this way. The two tests do not go in parallel, the Hungarian waits until the Romanian graduates, then he comes. Until then, you cannot roll forward, you have to wait there. Thus, the Romanian is held back. So first of all, both of them do the test after they can go. That is twice the wait. It makes no sense what they do. And unfortunately these are ours. If you could give a minus star for today's performance, they would get it. They don't even deserve a star.
