When we got there there were some guests but it was far from being crowded. However, we were told that it would take at least half an hour to get our orders as the place is crowded. We agreed to have fish soup as the waiter promised that it could be served without such delay, which was a crucial point for us as we travel with our baby. It was supposed to be a catfish fish soup but the fish in it was definitely not catfish,and it was not fresh but frozen. I frequent fish soup restaurants often, so I do know how catfish tastes and looks like The very best case scenario it was some frozen African catfish. The soup base tasted good but the fish was terrible. No decent 'halászcsárda' could afford to do such thing.

Only tried their kitchen. It's good, albeit the music is off for my taste.

The Gyulai paprikás was really quite tasty. My husband had a Harcsapörkölt. That was tasty too. The fish was fresh and of a good quality. The decor is not my cup of tea, not the most welcoming I've been to, but the waiter was friendly and the service was pretty fast. I would say good value for money.

Good hotel...fish food is excellent here..try the pike here.. delicious
