Beautiful setting, old Europe feeling, service very good, but food is quite average. Pogácsa is dry, desserts a bit too sweet, coffee is very good, more expensive than other similar cafés. Pleasant to sit in for some cozy time.

Lovely, quite place with beautiful design and delicious deserts. I really enjoyed my experience here

Their pastry chef is at the top of their game. We sampled 3 cakes whilst sitting in and all 3 were sublime. Will certainly go back for round 2. Service by an older gentleman was not particularly friendly (although wasn't rude either) but a young waitress took the effort to explain all available cakes (and they had about 25 different ones!) to my wife in English. She did so with a smile clearly pleased to be able to help. The only reason it's not a 5 star establishment is that they are stuck in a time warp and don't take card payments... What a pain.

Auguszt is an establishment and would deserve at least 4*. It’s family run, the owners are lovely, the atmosphere is nice. But the food is sometimes mediocre and overpriced. I also feel like they need to move a bit with the times. It’s still not possible to pay with card and I’m still getting refused when I ask for tap water. Forcing bottled water on customers is simply not okay. Considering the price gap between take-away and eat-in prices they really could offer (packaging)free water.

Absolutely the best place to eat lovely cakes, scrumptious chestnut puree with lashings of whipped cream, marzipan creations etc. in a beautiful Edwardian style coffee-shop in the vicinity of a bustling market in historical Budapest.
