Star City Hotel

Not very friendly staff they could smile a lot more, even if we don't speak each other's language a smile and a nod is welcoming. Perhaps a few Customer Care lessons. More eggs and bacon at breakfast, your English guests would like this. Very Clean rooms, quiet at night and nicely decorated. Good position for getting around Railway station and Metro 10 minutes walk.

very convenient for us commuting to MC Daniel College but the services was not as good as expected. Breakfast was fine but could be much better. entrance needs refurbishments. Lobby is nice and renovated.

The room was dirty. Like, very dirty... There were hair in the shower, on the bed, on the mattress. We asked for a change the first night but they said they were booked, but that there were probably going to be available rooms the next day. So the next day we asked again, but they said they still were booked. They did not clean our room, nor give us clean linen for our bed. The boy at the reception was kind, though, and disappointed for their own lack of service. Breakfast was all right, there was a lot of choice, but no still water.

+ Great location (near to bus-and metrostation), the stuff is super nice, breakfast offer is small but tasty, room is clean, a price is reasonable for a hotel like this - a bed and pillows are really uncomfortable; the sheets and the towels are smelling weird 😅

First of all, my stay was very brief - two nights only, and leaving at 4:30 in the morning on the last day - but nevertheless I got to 'experience' Star City Hotel. My room upon arrival seemed to be not very clean: dust on the edge of the board behind the bed, a big stain on the bed, hairs in the sink that were not removed during cleaning, mold on the shower ceiling that came in many color variations ranging from dark green to black, and damages to the sink and lamp beside the bed. As one can imagine I returned to the reception to leave note on the condition of my room and asked if there was anything that could be done about it but the lady behind the reception told me that housekeeping went away already and that there was nothing that she could do as she was not entitled to, and the manager was not available. Except that was not the only unpleasant thing I'd gotten to experience there. I asked a day prior to receive a wake-up call because I had to leave very early in the morning and I could not afford to miss my flight, so I opted for a call along side my several alarm clocks to wake me. But that call never happened. The gentleman behind the reception that morning tried to apologize to me when I checked out with the excuse 'I am so sorry ma'am, I had so much administration to do that I was not able to call you.' to which I asked him why the wake-up call was listed as one of the hotel's service. He had no idea. So to anyone who wants to book this hotel, please keep this in mind. To everyone else, this was simply my own experience and experiences as well as opinions may vary.
