Villa Pátzay Borhotel

Nice accommodation in the vineyards of Badacsonytomaj. Stunning view of lake Balaton from the rooms. They serve some delicious house wines and a really nice breakfast. Rooms are no very soundproof, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Staff is nice and attentive.

It is in a very nice place. The view, the panorama, Lake Balaton, the vineyards are captivating. Perfect place for parents with small children. There are many wine bars and restaurants on the hillside. Everyone in Pátzay is very kind and kind. The rooms are clean and equipped with everything. An extra bed can be requested, in principle at an additional cost, but we received it at no extra charge. There is a very cozy wine bar where I can get my own wines as well as other drinks. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The staff is kind and friendly. They are at reception until 9pm.

The 2 stars receive the kindness of the staff and the nice view. Other than that, unfortunately I can’t mention many positive things about the accommodation. Short: The room was dirty. There was a cobweb of curtains, a dead spider hanging from the door jamb, and there was a living spider in the bathroom, there were hairs in the bed and the armchair, the table was sticky. In the bath, one of the burners burned out in the lamp, the water alternating every 3 seconds, either cold or hot. The shelves in the closet were dusty. We signaled the problem, as a result of which they managed to remove the hair from the bed, everything else remained unchanged. In addition, cockroach-like beetles were found in the room every day. (We were 3 nights) In the morning you could hear the clatter from the kitchen. The room was not well insulated. The reception was constantly empty. The room keys were laid out on the counter, anyone could have picked them up from there. It was just a shoot one day, many strangers moving around the front desk. Overall, the accommodation was a big disappointment for us.

The panorama takes everything! We got a nice clean spacious room, there was no white bread at breakfast but here they must be very attentive to the health of the guests 😉Otherwise, the brown bread was very delicious!

Very nice view and hospitable staff. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. I have mixed feelings about breakfast as it wasn’t really eclectic or delicious in the first two days, but that changed for the second two days (someone else did and prepared it). What was even more incomprehensible to me was that guests staying at the hotel and consuming it did not receive a discount on the drinks consumed there. In fact, they consume for the same amount as "only" guests and even charge a service fee. Compared to the price of the wines that can be bought to take away, the price of the wines asked to be consumed there, then not only double and the service fee is realized, all by a hotel guest. This part could be reconsidered by the management. Other than that, I was happy with the place. * 5
