Highly recommended!

If you are looking for fine dining, do not look here. Real village, homely taste, intense seasoning, huge portions. (If you’re upset about the stomach, tell me carefully about the chili!) Anyone who wants to live well is unbeatable in terms of price / value. The wine and brandy are both homemade and authentic. The milieu is quite a parade, approx. 160 million objects hanging from the ceiling and walls, it feels good to sit in such an environment for 1-2 hours. The classic red "checkered" tablecloth is a plus point for me, it already indicates the feeling for me. 2 people: soup, gypsy steak with garnish, apple pepper, big splash, housekeeper, brandy: under 10,000 HUF. We'll be back.

Horror, disaster !!! The soup we asked for said no, because it would only be made, compared to the soup we asked for instead of a good half hour before it came out. Hortobágyi lasted even longer. By the time he got out, our soups were out. Pancakes were lukewarm, almost chilled, there were shards of glass in the sauce. After the appetizer, there were already two main courses (instead of 3), but their bad table was brought out. We are talking about the already problematic table to come, then the correct answer is not the moment / moment / right away. He eventually transferred the food to another table. He said to Hortobágy with a glass shard that there was no Hortobágy then, but no other appetizer, offering ... nothing. They apologized, but nothing else. We also came rather, in good faith we offered to pay for the food / drink consumed until then and it was accepted. The appearance of the waitress was not exactly hospitable, the preparation was lagging behind, her behavior was a bit "weird". Unfortunately, I looked closely at the reviews afterwards, and so there were problems last year, too, though the pictures looked good. Oh and there is no hot water in the bathroom, but at least there is a hand sanitizer, it can’t be said everywhere!

The food we received was all impeccable (although we didn’t get what we ordered😀) the waiter’s aunt is infinitely kind but unfortunately she doesn’t know her world, this has made the place unique and fun for us. If someone wants to eat plenty of delicious food with a good traditional taste and can accept the minimalist service that can even be funny then feel free to come in, you will not be disappointed. (don't look for the flavors of modern cuisine here 😂)

Good little place! We got a familiar and good big dose.
