Sétány Étterem Kávézó és Vendégház

If you are in Csopak pop in to Sétány Étterem for a spot of lunch. Reasonably priced, good food, friendly staff. Best coffee I had in 3 days here at the Balaton. I highly recommend this place.

Small portion of something that seemed premade and microwaved. No salad on my dish, except for a small carrot slice. Dry meat. "Tomato salad" was five slices of tomato and some onion rings. Not as expected compared to price.

It's been the worst experience I had in a restaurant in Hungary. Main course was served together with the appetizer, no reaction by the staff... So the main course just was cold... The second star is only for the waiter who tried to save the situation in the very end when I paid.

The food and the prices were ok, everything was a little on the greasy side, but that was expected (we did not exactly order a salad). The only thing that irked us is that you cannot access the restaurant's outside terrace through the restaurant, but are forced to go around it, pay the beach entry fee and only then are you allowed to sit outside. If you don't pay up, you have to sit inside. It's bizarre, I've never seen anything like it anywhere else before. Other then that we have little to complain, the staff was friendly, the service quick, they spoke very good english and the restaurant itself is nicely furnushed and clean.

Very classic lake-coast eatery, with Hungarian classics such as fish soup & bouillon, chicken goulash and fresh cheese noodles. We went for these classics, the fish soup was good, noodles and the chicken goulash was average. As opposed to other, country eateries, they don't give fresh, cut green peppers for the fish soup, pickles were old a soggy, the bread basket was probably served to another table before us with the same bread. The beer was cold and the service was kind enough.
