Huszár Vendégház

Solid workman like performance by a csarda style venue with a good local menu with some modern European infusions. Wish I could give it above 4.5 but I can only give a 4 or 5 and 5 is reserved for the truly special. The food did just what it said on the tin, portions were good, service was punctual and courteous and the facilities were excellent. Specifically what we liked were 1. it was an incredibly hot day and the entire under cover outdoor section is surrounded in water mist sprayers with fans. What an amazing difference and the kids loved the cooling mist. 2. the venue has a kids' playground right within the csarda complex making watching the kids and having a drink a joy ! 3. colour pencils and work sheet offered to each of the kids to keep them occupied whilst waiting 4. a complimentary half glass of sparkling wine was offered during meal which was a lovely touch. It got busy at 7pm so suggest booking in advance from 7pm in Summer.

Great prices, huge portions. Kids' portions are the size of adult plates at other lakeside restaurants. Highly recommended.

The hospitality of the managers are amazing! They really care about their customers, and want to do everything for they pleasent stay. The apartment was cosy, and well equipped. The restaurant dishes are awesome, delicious, abundant food for good price. Good to see they invest their reputation, don't want to rip off tourists, and thinking long term with their customers. If I travel in that area in the future, I will consider Huszár Vendégház again!
