Mining Exhibition, Museum of Mining - Salgótarján

Must see it! Children might get scared though, in the mine...

I really liked it, especially the underground part. We were still here in 2018.

We got there just as the last group would have left for the mine, they told us quickly and they were waiting for us. The driving was very cozy, we also laughed and stayed further down, not just driving people through the mine. Although it was already closing when we came up, we were allowed to look around the rooms quickly as well. Everyone was very kind and helpful, I would recommend it to anyone, even to someone who doesn’t necessarily have this area of ​​interest! :)

The second time we tried to watch it unsuccessfully. For the first time, despite the fact that all surfaces were advertised as open, no one was at the museum! We did not receive any response or reaction to our interest on Facebook, not even days or weeks later. Two months later we were here again! After an hour and a half of waiting (with five small children) we came because after a towed, very hard-working, bored attitude we couldn’t wait to get down to the mine. They redeemed our tickets, but it was a big disappointment! A star just because it is the minimum.

It was a great experience to go underground! We got to know the man-trying work of the miners, the exhibition also showed coal mining from the beginning. Machines and puppets also illustrate mining.
