Great, long-lasting educational trail leading to Salgó Castle. The road to it is varied, but what is most catchy is the almost unprecedented silence, through which the hiker can give himself to the wonderful atmosphere of the forest. There are two routes to follow, both lavish, and our reward is a panorama that unparalleled in clear weather all the way to the High -To the Tatras. At a comfortable pace and on the way to the Witch's Stone, a 2-hour relaxation awaits us only 7 kilometers away. Highly recommended.

From Salgótarján, by bus or car, from the center of the Eaves, near the bird park, this beautiful study trail, which runs for a while along the forest gym, starts. This area is also part of the Karancs-Medves Landscape Protection Area and the Novohrad-Nógrád Geopark. The nature trail is easy to walk, easy to say, uphill only when you reach Salgo Castle. In the valley of the romantic Várbereki creek it leads to the Sasok meadow and then to Salgó castle. We can walk backwards in the pine forest, beech forest, giant trees. There are very good and partial information boards on the study trail, many beautiful wooden animal statues, mining memorials and beautiful forests. At Eve, the Geopark Visitor Center has all the information you need, and there are accommodations, other study trails and attractions in the area.
