Kukorica Csárda

It was a disappointment. We have heard a lot of good things about this place but we do not understand why. First of all the glasses we get were unwashed/dirty, the salmon had cheap frozen taste, and there were unbeareable amount of flies. Oh, and I almost forget: the steak was overdone and dry.

I would dare to call this one, one of the best restaurants on the entire south shore of Lake Balaton. The restaurant looks very nice, and it is absolutely enormous. It has very hungarian country feel to it, which is very pleasant to lool at. The restaurant has its own huge parking lot. The food seems a bit expensive at first but the excelent quality, and the generous portions more than make up for it. Service quality is flawless. Wait times for food may vary, first time it was reasonably long, second time it came out very quickly. The restaurant is nearly spotless.The restaurant offers tableside violin, and it's quite pleasant. The restaurant's menu has a whole section dedicated for children, for children it also offers a very nice playground. The restaurant is also very animal friendly, and have no problem serving even our furry companions. All these good qualities reflect in the restaurantd popularity, one would be hard pressed to find it less than half full. 10/10 would and will come again

Excellent meal. Reasonable service Pleasant environment. Not cheap but good value. Will return.

If you want to try the typical Hungarian kitchen (meat + garnish) after the communism, it is a great place. If good culinary experience, not the best.

The reputation of the restaurant intrigued me so finally I had a chance to stop by and I was pleased by the dining experience down to the quality of the napkins they use . A real quality experience that is rare to find nowadays. The food and the service equally superb! Hope that you too experience what I had! Thank you for the people running this place!
