I would like to give Dr. Adam Lakatos my most sincere gratitude. My partner and I were flying home to england from Budapest Ferihegy, everything seemed like a mundane flight but that was about to change. My partner was stopped by customs officer and was eventually handed over to the police (rendorseg). I spoke very few words of hungarian and had no idea what was happening. All I knew was a maximum detention period of 72 hours and something about a kecskemet court. The police wouldnt give up any details nor would they let anyone speak to her. I felt like a lost dog in the middle of a busy metropolis. After relentess search for "lawyers in budapest", I found and called Dr Adam. From the beginning he was so helpful. (Other law firms wanted me to initially send an email of my case with no promise of when I would be given a reply). During our initial phone call, dr Adam was able to promptly see the reason for detainment and was able to message me of the details. He invited me to his office to discuss further even though it was 1800. He suggested we should travel to kecskemet (90km from the captial and even offered me and my partner a seat in his car!) the following day, where he can represent my partner in front of the judge and sort out few more details pertaining the case. The following day, we did exactly so; I was so distraught to see my girlfriend being handled like an animal (handcuffed and a waistbelt attached to a chain where the police held). Regardless of this, he dealt with everything and my girlfriend released with her passport with minute repucussions. Dr Adam Lakatos, you are a true gentlemen and an expert in your field of work.
