A plain looking place serving the best fish soup in Hungary (out of several I tasted all over the country). Of course there are several other items on the menu, but we always stick to the fish soup which is a huge portion with large, delicious fish pieces, served fast and hot. It is a meal. (It is priced accordingly, too.) The only thing that hurts, really hurts, that they charge for regular water (not even mentioning that they do)! If the fish soup was not this phenomenal, I would not go back because of this.

Unfortunately, due to covid, I can only comment on the takeaway version. After a preliminary telephone consultation, we received our abundant fish soup from Baja, rich in meat and offal, at the agreed time. Both the quality and the quantity were perfectly fine. The price is also very buying friend I think. The lady at the counter is kind and friendly. I promise we’ll come back after opening to try other dishes as well.

There would be no particular problem with the food, simple, medium quality, Hungarian food, although the amount of portions is constantly decreasing. I always ask for an onion grater, so far 2 large slices of meat have been puffed with delicious, crispy onions, now a slice of chewy meat with withered, oily onions, scandal. My mother asked for poppy seed pancakes with blueberry sauce (so it’s on the menu) the “waitress” brings out this, we ask where the blueberry sauce is. Answer: "It's not on it." My mother said, "But it's not in it either." And that's how the story remained, embarrassing. But the service is something scandalous, uncritical. Incompetent, incompetent, lifelong "waitresses" throw you the menu, not a smile or a good word. They answer in sentences, they only speak when they have to. The tablecloth is dirty, sticky, full of crumbs. The glass is also dirty. The food is really okay, the flavors are delicious, but I also get the mood out of life when I look at the people teased by the waitresses. We’ve been here several times, it’s always been the story that the food is good, but the service is lousy. Though it would be a good place, it’s a shame they can’t find normal employees. That one star is due to the food, and it is brought out quickly, because the reduced portion is ready sooner

Dear Szedresi Halászcsárda, Impeccable fish soup exists even in a restaurant, but unfortunately it was not. Not to mention the bread, which is not fresh. liquidated with the whole basket.The service if you went to the decorative little lady without grimacing then maybe all the others would be forgivable.Thank you.

I had lunch here in the company of seven people. Waiting for the team to clash with a little fish grinder, we wanted to beat our hunger. Unfortunately, this delicacy is not yet on the menu. Instead, we ordered fried carp and garlic slices which we were not disappointed in. Our main course was of course the specialty of the place, mixed fish soup. The fish soup is made in Baja style and whoever needs match dough will get it. The fish slices served separately in abundant quantities, we had to seriously force ourselves to run out. The hall was pleasantly spicy and silky. We closed the lunch with several homemade strudels which was very, very delicious. Unfortunately my favorite was the poppy plum so I had to come back.
