Gemenc Forest is different from other forests, here the scale is different. You can also see a deer or two piglets in the Szekszárd hills or further afield, walking through the forests of the Mecsek. But what is a rare, lucky moment there is a matter of course. A howling buzzard drifts in the air elsewhere, but here the twice-sized otter orbits over the trees with its raven companion. We can read these lines in The Treasures of Gemenc — Famatalazalems — or perhaps in a photo album. The author Ferenc Elblinger summarized the answer to a very important question in a few lines: What does Gemenc mean? What makes it unique? Maybe a lovely old memory, or a place where we can forget the noises of the city? One thing is for sure, everyone ... You, dear readers, spectators, possibly students, think about themselves ...

We were on a two day canoe water tour (which unfortunately I didn’t really like) and we stayed here between the two days with a tent. Well, I would have preferred to stay elsewhere so retrospectively. There is complete chaos and clutter inside the fence, the area between the kitchen and the toilet is something incredible, I have never seen anything like it. Respectively, the shower roses were rusty, the next day all our fingers beside our nails were rust-stained. I couldn’t wait to take a shower somewhere clean. And I didn't like the tour, I bought it as a gift, I wanted to feel good, I hoped that they would take me to many small abandoned parts, instead we paddled on the wide river on Saturday, we had to stop constantly, we didn't go to any small hidden part, but we also paddled on the big Danube. half an hour before we got back, and on Sunday the same thing, but luckily we were taken there already to a little secluded place, which I was very happy about, but it was a pity. The next two hours are approx. it was about survival, we "paddled" in the mud into a dead end and then back. Maybe we shouldn't call this a canoe trip. And the two-day tour of the two approx. 3-4 hours rowing maximum, of which the actual rowing is maybe 1-2 hours. I was really looking forward to it, I was very excited who wants an adventure trip like this with a good heart, but I recommend it to anyone who really wants to row, or hygiene or order is important to him, not so much.
