My lovely building during my PhD study

I'm working here

During my university years (1990-1995), during the "specialization" period, I spent the most, because here were the main subjects of the "Electrical Machines and Appliances" specialization. The building itself was built between 1954 and 1960, according to József Pretsch's (1900-1995) architect, who was a prominent Hungarian representative of the art deco architecture. The V1 is one of the 11 study buildings built between 1949 and 1980 to mitigate the lack of space due to large-scale developments. Today, the Department of Electric Power and BME's High Voltage Laboratory are here, where they can produce up to 750kV boost. I think a copy of my 1995 diploma work is also stored there. I remember the V1 as a somewhat grimy building.
