Demetervin Winery

Very nice place with very nice staff, huge selection of Tokaj wines, some of them possible to taste before buying.

Really amazing! Met Edith (the owner) and she took us in her car for a tour of the area and Demetervin vineyard and tasting cellars. Very warm and welcoming. Without being asked, she acted as our own personal tour guide which was so awesome! She made us a dinner reservation as most people in the village of Mad do not speak English. Really delicious wine... both the dry and sweet. Bought 8 bottles to take home. USA citizens can bring home 12 bottles each. Great room. Very comfortable. Felt like we were staying in her home. Also met the winemaker, Edith’s son. I would definitely recommend for an excellent place to stay in Mad.

Far away from noise and distraction, you find the Demetervin Winery and Guesthouse, nestled in the tiny village of Mad. This little shop and inn provides more than just a silent night's sleep. They also have the most phenomenal wine tasting at their establishment! Make sure to request the room with a Jacuzzi - it's fantastic!

Really nice winemaker and family, specialised in organic wines.

Good wines, pleasant environment, cheerful conversation.
