Vásárhelyi Pál emlékmű

Stopped when was on my way from Zemplinska Sirava to Tiszafured by bike in 2018. Nice place to stop by. It's monument of brilliant hungarian water engineer that projected and conducted build of embankment of Tisza river. He also rearranged Tisza river and regulated it to short it for about 40%. When I was cycling on this embarkment from Tokaj up to Tiszabura by Tiszafured it made a great impression on me! So many people has given so much work and energy and talent of this engineer to build duch a great construction. I think somebody should take care of this monument of great hungarian sacrifice and talent not to be ruined or forgotten.

A monument reminiscent of a bygone era. A few km from Tiszadob. It is easily accessible on foot and by bicycle. Lazy people can also enter by car, although it is forbidden.

Pleasant resting place ... Unfortunately, the monument is very neglected ...

From the pontoon bridge approx. 4-5 km on an asphalted dam. It is worth mentioning this.
