Fort Csillag

Csilla Erőd - Komárom, Magyarország.Fort Star ( Csillag Erőd) is a part of the biggest monumental Fortress around two cities Komárom (Hungary) and Komárno (Slovakia) placed on River Danube (Duna, Dunaj).The Fortress was buil as a protection by the enemies for saving these cities in past historical times of the centuries between years 1200 and 1945.There lived the biggest soldier communities.The most famous leader of the Fortress was General György Klapka.

There was a fortress, a barracks, an ammunition depot, a refugee shelter, an internment camp, an emergency apartment and a vegetable depot. It will now have a museum of plaster copies of classic sculptures. It is expected to open in March 2021.
