Benczúr-kúria

The Benczúr castle confiscated by the State has been abandoned. By october this year restoration work will start. By 2021 it will be open to public presenting a permanent exhibition on work and life of the Hungarian painter Gyula Benczúr. Great improvement to come!

The Benczúr Mansion and the magnificent historical park are currently under renovation, with a new exhibition from the summer of 2022.

Very nice place. Too bad the castle is neglected. We hope to renovate successfully. Such a renowned artist deserves to be remembered.

Workplace

Anyone who is curious about old ruined buildings and castles in beautiful places should check it out if you go there. The building itself cannot be visited but you can walk around from the outside. In the back is a 100-year-old yew tree.
