It's okay if it's closed ... "Around 6.5 tons of smoked goods were seized by experts from the National Food Chain Safety Authority (Nebih) in a unit belonging to a meat butcher in the capital, the unit was suspended due to hygiene and traceability deficiencies, and the order is being recalled. A fine of one million is expected from the Cinkota Meat Factory's Szakoly Street unit to meat shops in the capital and Pest County, as well as weekend markets. According to Nébih's announcement, inspectors seized 55 items of unmarked, non-traceable foods (ham, sausage, pickled semi-finished products). The floor, sidewalls and ceilings in the shop were damaged, dirty and cracked in several places. In the room used for storing and weighing spices, the counter was heavily soiled and the balance was dirty and rusty. No traceability system was in place at the unit, so the origin of the products could not be proven. Separate storage of the products was not always ensured and the device disinfectant did not work. At the time of the inspection, the room used for cutting meat was 15 instead of the maximum 12 degrees allowed. The dressing room and social room for the workers were also dirty and lacked hygienic hand washing conditions. The unit also used frozen ingredients when making products, contrary to specifications. "
