Please look above while standing in front of the building. Fantastic wrinkle, when the house was built. MDCCCLXXXXVI in Roman numeral. It is 1896. Real "mystery".
Great old building, nice staff, perfect stay

What a refreshing new discovery in Budapest. A very pleasant new Hotel as a very valid alternative to other stays.
The hotel's interior design is absolutely spectacular! I loved every little bit of it! You really get the feeling you're entering a very special place (this used to be the HQ of Hungarian freemasons). The beautiful chandeliers on every floor only add to that effect – it all seems like you're entering some secret organization, not a hotel. The rooms were awesome too, but the best part of the hotel is the restaurant. I mean, wow! The checkered tiles, the wonderful tables, the atmosphere... Oh, and the food is excellent, of course. The hotel deserves a 10/10, no doubt about that, and I can't wait to come and stay here again.
