Unfortunately, the surroundings of the Statue and the pool in which it is located are not maintained at all, it is full of rubbish and is left to perish. The area is horrible.

The "Workers" István Kiss 1982 sculpture. It is made of chromium plated steel and is 2.6m high. There are four workers crossing their arms, as they lay their feet on a large shaft. They look pretty bleak with a facial expression, they are already frightening. As if they were listening to those who would strike their axes to pay a worthy punishment. The mustache worker is likely to see a speckled spectacle on the forehead and a cap on the head of the others. How did the statue of the Hungarian State Treasury XIII. district building? This building was formerly a partisan house, namely the MSZMP, so that could be the explanation.

One of the non-glorious memories of the past ........ 🤐 Created by sculptor István Kiss in 1982. Height of the sculpture composition made of chrome steel plate: 2.6 meters. The title of the work is Workers, which is part of the XIII. ker. Váci út 69, at Róbert Károly körút, next to the Pension Disbursement Directorate, in front of the entrance of the Hungarian State Treasury (which was previously one of the headquarters of the state party).

At the exit of the metro is this chrome-steel, modern statue. Although the figures are robust, it is not a politically charged, propaganda monument from the previous system. Created by István Kiss, it was claimed in 1982.
