Draskovich Palace

Beautiful manor house but the local government let the building to such state that it is dangerous to be in and around it!!! The surrounding gardens are very charming and really pretty to stroll about unless they have zillions of mosquitos eating you alive (July 15, 2019)! :-( I managed to take some nice photos nonetheless but we were rushing out of the gardens really fast. No fun and disgrace to this historical gem in the middle of nowhere.

The place, the castle would also be nice, it seems they were given money to renovate the roof, which they could have done someday, but if it rains (I was there at just this time this year) a lot of rainwater drips down the castle wall. It is a shame and a disgrace to see how much this building is not owned, even though only a few days of work by a carpenter / roofer could stop the active deterioration of the building. Shame on the maintainer !! CHEAPLY COULD SAVE THE DAMAGE OF THE BUILDING BECAUSE THE ENTIRE ROOF IS IN GOOD CONDITION. ONLY SMALL REPAIRS SHOULD BE MADE ON THE EASTER SYSTEM AND ONE ROOF. It’s not enough to do something with dropped money, but it has to be maintained. Anyone who maintains is unworthy of this task. A maintainer would be needed who would conscientiously deal with this treasure of the village.

Wonderful in all seasons .. It is a pleasure to walk here ..

The arboretum is beautiful. The area of ​​the castle is kept tidy. The castle itself could be repaired.

The castle itself is ruined, not to be visited, but the park and arboretum are worth a great walk, very beautiful giant pines and rare plants can be seen. I would note, however, that there is not much bench in the park where one can sit and compared to the fact that it is a small town and a lot of discarded rubbish of a protected natural value🙁
