Monument to the victims of the railway accident. One of the most serious mass accidents in Hungary occurred in 1973 in Kecskemét. On January 31, 1973, a bus from Kecskemét to Helvécia was served. The Korhánköz railway intersection was unpredictable and there was no barrier. A collision with a train resulted in 37 deaths and 17 serious injuries. There are 37 rail sleepers leading to the memorial, which is the gateway between life and death, and 37 rail bolts hold the gate. The statue was created by wood sculptor Tamás Apró and the environment was designed by Lajos Borbély. (Ferenc Hársch's 2009 article and photos)
