Aggtelek National Park

We did the cave tour that started at the Aggtelek Red Lake Visitor Center, which was a 2-hour tour. The tour was beautiful, although it’s only offered in Hungarian. Tip: Bring a sweater or jacket. It’s very cold down there and after 2 hours it’s uncomfortably cold. Covid-Travels: The group we were with was not good about social distancing and properly wearing their masks. Nobody else seemed concerned… We were able to stay far back from the group. Since we don’t speak Hungarian, we didn’t mind not being able to hear the presentation.

Cool things. The tour is good, however nothing has changed in the last 20 years.

Amazing place! Audio guide in english would be much appreciated. Concrete pathways are build all through the cave. Accessible for people of all ages.

Great caving experience. The guys at the national park did a terrific job in preparing those caves for the people. The caves are not to be missed! Enjoy!
