This hunting lodge, which could actually be a three-star hotel, enjoys a beautiful location in the heart of Zemplén, in front of a natural rock wall on a hilltop next to a pine forest. The building itself is well maintained, clean and in its atmosphere blends well with the natural environment. The immediate foyer of the house (mansion) is beautifully landscaped with flowers and various ornamental shrubs. Being a hunting lodge, the communal areas are full of stuffed game and hunter-trophies, and even half a bison is noticed in the big dining room. Everywhere are paintings depicting forest scenes and wildlife, wooden sculptures and unique rock slate paintings. The room was clean, the beds were hard but comfortable, the water pressure in the bathroom was extremely high and the water was dangerously hot. The heating and air conditioning are also impeccable. The breakfast served (cold cuts of game) and main courses are excellent, following the traditions of the local cuisine. The staff is exceptionally nice. There is no sign of the usual grin and artificial, distant staff behavior in larger hotels. If you are bothered by the fact that sometimes he is not the focus, it is better to go to a wellness hotel. For example, during our stay, a small chapel was built by local masons and carpenters next to the Hunting Lodge. They also got breakfast and they got the coffee from the same coffee machine as the guests. Therefore, it happened that you had to wait a few more minutes for a coffee machine or a buffet egg. This didn’t bother any of the guests when we were there because everyone knew it was a hunting lodge with a friendly atmosphere where it was completely normal. However, I can imagine that someone would bother with this, then this place is not for him. Due to the capacity of the hunting lodge, there are not many and during a virus outbreak period you can find the time window when you have to have breakfast alone or with a maximum of another room (5 meters away).

Quiet, calm, beautiful neighborhood. The rooms are sophisticated and clean. Breakfast is very good, responsive. The menu could have a larger selection, but is very delicious and plentiful, at a good price.
